What do the symbols next to the messages mean?

A tick means that the message has been sent and two means that the message has been read. The “trash can” symbol means that the other person has deleted the message, and the crossed-out eye means that they have hidden the message. A crown next to a member's username means they have a VIP membership, while a star means they have a Premium membership.
